Since this article was a film review specifically, while laying out the images (along the right side), I attempted to mimic the design of an old 35mm film slide.

I love the artwork in this piece and so, kept the layout simple, clean and complimentary. Both the sculpture image and the pillar-like body of text stand to divide the page and oppose each other. On the other hand ... the slight overlapping and shared white space allow fluidity and coherency.

This project's objective was to create a visual & text based book/portfolio for JTCG, a trendspotting fashion footwear consultant who informs on upcoming streetwear style. It lead me to analyze and stretch the traditional definition of a 'portfolio'. What's important? And how will the information and overall idea best be recieved?

Each box was a sketch and potential look for my upcoming website's hompage. I ended up going with something much cleaner and navigable, but these photoshop/illustrator based sketches help demonstrate my process.
